DRIVER PROFILES - Dylan Ludwig

Congratulations Dylan Ludwig for being chosen to be featured on our Drivers Feature Blog!

I remember the first time I saw Dylan out at the track. He was out there practicing leading and following with a fellow experienced racer, Devon Gellings, to improve his driving skills. You can tell when someone is a natural-born athlete just by how they hold themselves. He came across as highly mature for his age (I'm pretty sure I thought he was closer to 20!); he was precise in his lines and smooth in his corners. If anything, he came across as experienced, motivated and focused on improving his driving. I had no idea it was his first year in karting.

When you find out someone is much younger than you assumed and mature in that they are open to receiving coaching to focus on growth, there's a whole new appreciation for them as a racer. Sometimes, when people are rookies or new to karting, there is nervousness about asking for support and a little bit of pride that comes with it. Not with Dylan. His proactive approach, along with the help of his family, set him up for success in his first year of karting and earned him Rookie of the year because of it! His parents must be incredibly proud of him.

Thank you, Dylan, for being an inspiration to many. Thank you for accepting this invitation to share a little bit more about yourself to help inspire others with our Driver Profile Blog! We can't wait to see you grow in Motorsport for years to come!
